KIWI MARTINI - B'day Drink for hubby dear

Yesterday was Garg's b'day so it was a hectic but lovely day. Neither of the two of us are experts in mixed drinks but have started exploring this arena a lot off late, and he has very proudly appointed me as his bartender cum mixologist.. so I'd definitely treat him with one of my latest findings. With Kiwis lying alone in my fridge, I'd definitely not disappoint them too (first I'd thought of a sangria using all the fruits I'd stalked that morning). So I'd decided on the fruit I am partial to .. the Kiwi fruit. Here goes the Kiwi Martini, very easy but very tempting.

Ingredients:

1 Kiwi Fruit
2 tbsp lime cordial(or lime juice)
1 tbsp sugar syrup
3 ounces vodka
ice cubes

Method:

Freeze the Martini glass for 15 20 minutes and take it out just at the time you want to serve it.
1. Muddle one Kiwi with sugar syrup and lime cordial in a Martini Shaker or a simple glass, no worries.
2. Add three ounces Vodka, and lots of ice.
3. Shake well and pour into sugar rimmed(optional) martini glass. You may like to include the kiwi seeds that add a good flavor.
4. Garnish it with a half slit kiwi for that photogenic look.

Some fried sausages make a good pair with it, this was served when we had the cake cut at 12 at nite. For that matter, i would like to mention i got the cake from daily bread and it was yummmmmmmmmy... we have become a daily bread fan.. anyone else a daily bread fan here?

Since the cake didn't have much of chocolate topping i had especially got the chocolate almond praline with lots of cream and thick thick thick chocolate layer topping to give him a goood facial after he cuts the cake ;) (he had it thrice, twice after he had washed his face clean from the previous one hehe... )

  18. The kiwi is rich in minerals like potassium, magnesium and fiber and is very good for the woman because kiwi contain folic acid and stresses the vitamin C and B. So if you want to have a baby is very important including kiwi in your diet every day.
